2 8oz cans tomato sauce

can black beans, drained (if omitting meat, use additional beans such as kidney or pinto)

1 4oz can diced green chilies

teaspoons chili powder

teaspoon ground cumin

teaspoon minced garlic

teaspoon oregano

teaspoon cayenne (red) pepper (optional)

package corn or flour tortillas

cups shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Brown
ground meat with onion. Add the rest of
the ingredients except the tortillas and cheese. Let simmer for 5 min. Then layer the tortillas, cheese and meat
mixer like lasagna. Bake at 350 degrees covered with foil for 20 minutes. Uncover and let bake for 10 more minutes more for
cheese to melt on top.
Freezer
Meal: Place in baking dish and cover with foil. On day of use, let thaw out
completely. Bake at 350 degrees covered with foil for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake
for 10 more minutes more for cheese to melt on top.
